The centerpiece for global assessments is the annual report that the UN Secretary-General is mandated to produce.National governments are the keepers of official statistics for their country and seek to ensure that indicator methodologies and data collection processes will result in robust, reliable datasets.Data collection at the local level is particularly important for this global agenda that seeks to “leave no one behind”.
