[NEWS] World Health Assembly Adopts Five-Year Plan for Advancing SDGs



世衛組織總幹事Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus預計,該機構將加強對公共衛生的重視,強調國家一級的影響,並改善人們獲取與衛生有關的知識和信息的機會。

The 71st World Health Assembly agreed on a five-year strategic plan to advance all health-related targets under the SDGs, especially SDG 3 on good health and wellbeing.

The plan sets a “triple-billion” target to be achieved by 2023: extending universal health coverage to one billion more people, ensuring better protection from health emergencies for one billion more people, and promoting better health and wellbeing for one billion more people.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus anticipated that the agency will increase its focus on public health, emphasize country-level impacts, and improve people’s access to health-related knowledge and information.
